there are two ways to get tokens, and they work together.

• a plan: a monthly subscription that grants tokens every month at the cheapest per-token rate. best if you post regularly.
• top-up packs: one-time token purchases that never expire, bought any time. best for an occasional boost, or to run without a subscription.

for steady use a plan is the cheaper route; top-up packs are there to cover a busy stretch or to run with no subscription at all.
